A going-away gift made of everywhere you went together
Someone's leaving, and a card doesn't hold any of it. A memory map does: the place you ate on the first night, wherever you ended up at 2am, the day out that went completely wrong, the last night out before they went — each with its photos and its own note. They open one private link from the new city, and everything they've just left is still there.

What to put on a going-away map
Someone's moving away — a colleague, a housemate, a friend. Map the places you shared before the new city takes over.
- Where it started
- The day you moved in, the first shift, the first night out. Start the map where you met, so the last pin can be where they're going.
- Wherever you ended up at 2am
- The corner shop, the kebab place, the walk back. Nothing happened there, which is exactly why you both still remember it.
- The day out that went wrong
- The missed train, the wrong turn, the hour of walking nobody planned. The days that went badly make far better pins than the ones that went to plan.
- The night you actually talked
- A bench, a park, the last two people left in the pub. Not everything worth pinning was an event — some of it was just sitting somewhere for too long.
- The last night out
- The leaving dinner, or the place you'd always said you'd try and finally did. Write down the thing you spent the whole evening not talking about.
- Somewhere to say goodbye
- A view, a park, the spot you both liked — or the city they're moving to, left mostly empty. Make the last pin the one you wrote properly, and let them read it once they've gone.
See one you can actually open
An example map, made for a housemate leaving Tokyo. Tap a pin to open the memory behind it; the two closest pins group into a numbered pin until you zoom in.
They'll open it from the new place.
Add your pins this week, send one link on their last day, and it travels with them for nothing.
