Refund Policy
Last updated 21 July 2026
Memory Mapper, operated by Edev Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”), lets you upgrade an individual map to Pro or Max for a single, one-off charge — there is no subscription. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund on such a purchase and how to request one. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement, resupply, or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have a fault fixed within a reasonable time if the failure does not amount to a major failure.
A “major failure” includes (but is not limited to) situations where the service:
- would not have been purchased by a reasonable consumer who knew of the problem;
- is substantially unfit for its intended purpose and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable time;
- does not match the description or demonstration we provided; or
- is unsafe.
This policy is in addition to, and does not replace or limit, your rights under the ACL.
2. Change of mind
Because a map upgrade is a one-off payment for digital access (not a physical good), and the Pro or Max limits apply to your map immediately and permanently once the charge succeeds, we do not offer refunds for change of mind — for example, if you later decide you did not need the extra memories, photos, or storage, or upgraded the wrong map. Please review the tier that suits your map on our pricing page before you buy.
This does not affect your rights under the ACL, or your right to a refund where a map is faulty or not as described (see below).
3. Faulty or not-as-described service
If a map upgrade you paid for:
- has a problem that would have stopped you from purchasing it had you known about it in advance;
- is substantially unfit for its intended purpose;
- does not match the description provided at the time of purchase (for example, the tier’s limits are not applied to your map); or
- is otherwise faulty or not fit for purpose,
you may be entitled to a free repair, a replacement, or a refund, depending on whether the issue is a major or minor failure, in accordance with the ACL. Wherever we reasonably can, we will first try to fix the problem so you keep the map you paid for.
4. If we end a map you have paid for
If we suspend or cancel a Pro or Max map you have paid for through no fault of your own — for example, because we discontinue the Service or a feature you paid for — you may request a refund of that purchase. We will refund a fair amount, taking into account how long you were able to use the map. This does not apply where we end a map because you breached our Terms of Service.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund or report a fault, email us at support@memory-mapper.com and include:
- the map involved (its name or share link);
- the date of purchase and the tier you upgraded to;
- a description of the issue.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.
6. Assessing your request
When you contact us, we may ask for reasonable evidence of the issue (for example, screenshots, a description of what went wrong, or the steps you took) to help us assess whether a fault exists and whether it is a major or minor failure. We will assess each request on its individual circumstances and in line with our obligations under the ACL.
7. Approved refunds
Where a refund is approved — whether under this policy or as required by the ACL:
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Please allow up to 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
- Where only part of what you paid for was faulty or unfit for purpose, we may offer a partial refund reflecting the value of the unaffected portion.
8. Payment processor
Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method and may be subject to its processing timeframes. We do not store your full card details.
9. Contact us
